Mouse cursor inverted ?

I've seen a similar thing since playing around with different themes.
Under one theme, the mouse pointer seemed to change to one that wasn't
so smoothly defined (it looked monochrome rather than having shades of
grey) and sometimes went black until I clicked on the title bar of an
application. It seems to have come back to normal now though (maybe due
to some more playing around with themes).

That doesn't give much of an answer but at least you're not alone ;)
