Thanks to those who responded for your answers. It sounds, then, like
there isn't necessarily an "ubuntu way" for dialup, there is the "debian
way," which means pick and choose :) gnome-ppp sounds good to me.
I miss libranet's "adminmenu." It really made menial tasks like this
easy. It would be nifty if it - or its concept - could be added to
ubuntu.
