I guess I'll reply to this one myself since I just got it working. I'm
not totally sure that I understand what's going on, but I'll relate
what I do know.

I tried putting 'domain myhome.westell.com' as the first line in
/etc/resolv.conf, but it didn't seem to have any effect when I brought
the interface down and then up. I did notice that when I did a
'iwconfig eth0' it was showing the old key. I changed that with issuing
another 'iwconfig eth0 essid "networkName" key s:newkey', brought the
network down and then up, and I could finally ping the router. I could
have sworn I tried that earlier, but perhaps not.

I did notice that the /etc/resolv.conf file was changed to"
search myhome.westell.com
nameserver 192.168.1.1
nameserver 192.168.1.1

We'll see what happens when I reboot.

In Warty there is no other interface for managing the wireless
connection other than through 'iwconfig'?
