System freeze when mouting CDs/DVDs on LG DVD-ROM drive.

Hi all
I installed a new LG DVD-ROM drive into a desktop, along with performing 
a fresh Warty install with all security updates. Whenever I try to mount 
CDs or DVDs in the drive, or whenever the automounting features of 
Ubuntu try to do so, the computer completely locks up. I can't even view 
any logs or look at dmesg.

The internal ID of the drive is HL-DT-STDVD-ROM GDR8163B. What is 
interesting, is that the drive mounted the Warty CD during the install 
with no problems.

Suggestions welcome.
