I would suggest that this individual that is concerned about the
giving of credit contact the author of this site, and, perhaps even
offer to help him or her rectify the situation and offer advice as
relates to the choosing of appropriate copyrights/licences, etc.
Kudos to this person since they put in the effort to compile the
information in a central location, and to host it for others to use.
I have to admit that had it been me in that position, I would probably
have taken down the web site after reading some of the earlier posts
in this thread. Not for fear of legal action but because of the
unwelcoming attitude shown by one poster in particular.
I sincerely hope that any issues can be resolved AMICABLY and in
PRIVATE. The airing on that one individuals' laundry in public in such
a manner is inappropriate to say the least.
PS Can we please move this thread to the "chatter" channel, ubuntu-sounder.
