Continuing installation failure on Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop.

Yes,  if I look in the Wiki there doesn't seem to be a problem on 
record.  On the
other hand at least one other user has had exactly the same problem;  the only
thing is their machine appears to have been happy with a later distro version,
mine isn't.

Looks like I'm soon going to have to learn about alternative installation 
methods.
