another is that ibm will probably enter some type of mktg ploy with apple.
imagine that.......a huge portion of apple's installed base use powerpc (ibm)
and tyhe pc mkt is just not producing the profits that ibm thinks it should, though
i think not having ibm as direct pc mfgr will hurt the qaulity not the market due
to a drop in quality of systems sold.

There is merit to starting a PowerPC specific list right now while we
are at the beginning of a greatly expanded PowerPC market.
The basic reason that PowerPC will gain marketshare very rapidly is that
PowerPC is already oriented toward the new realities of computing
*devices* that includes STB (Set Top Boxes) Game boxes and nextgen
PC's. Even Microsoft will have the thirs iteration of the nex PowerPC
based XBox as a home PC.
