xmms-mp4 problems

I'm trying to install the xmms-mp4 plugin to listen to my aac music
collection. The install says it depends on libmp4-0, which is fine with
me, so I tell it to install and the install goes fine but then xmms
won't start. Below is the output I get when I try to run xmms from the
command line.

/usr/lib/xmms/Input/libmp4.so: undefined symbol: faacDecOpen
Inconsistency detected by ld.so: ../sysdeps/generic/dl-tls.c: 72:
_dl_next_tls_modid: Assertion `res
ult <= _rtld_local._dl_tls_max_dtv_idx' failed!

Anyone know what to do about this.
