Sounds like the ata cables got switched. /dev/hda is the master drive
on ide0 and /dev/hdc is the master drive on ide1. It was shipped with
the hard drive on ide0 and the cd-rom on ide1 I'm sure, so I bet when
that jaz drive was installed the person installing it put the cables
back in the motherboard backwards =)
