|
| so do i just find linux 386 install in synaptic and select remove? i'm
| obviously nervous as i really don't know my way around ubuntu yet.

Here's what I did.
[lappy]~# history | grep 386
~ 387 sudo apt-get remove linux-386
~ 389 sudo apt-get remove linux-headers-2.6.8.1-3-386
~ 394 sudo apt-get remove lufs-module-2.6.8.1-3-386
~ 501 h | grep 386
I had to recompile that lufs module for 686. But that was it. 686 works
a lot faster. I was suprised by how much.
