Multi-function printers in Ubuntu

I'm currently shopping for a multifunction printer / scanner / copier
to use with Ubuntu. Right now I'm considering either an HP PSC combo,
which seems to supported under linux (http://hpoj.sourceforge.net/),
or an Epson Stylus Photo RX combo, for which I found drivers
(http://www.epkowa.co.jp/english/linux_e/index.html).

I have some questions though. The HP drivers seem to support PSC 2200,
2400 and 2500 series, but the only models available downtown are PSC
23xx, can anybody tell me if they'll work, too ? The epson drivers are
not very well advertised, although they semm to be free/open source.
The user forums indicate some failures, and unresolved cases. Can
anybody tell me how well they perform ?

Lastly, does anybody out there own a good multinfunction device they
would like to recommend to their ubuntu fellows for the shopping
season ?
