Would Ubuntu be the first distro to support Pocket PC devices outof the box?

I'd settle for being able to sync Yanoff (PalmOS-based newsreader) on
my clie (SJ-33).  I've found some explanations of how to connect a Palm
PDA to the internet via ppp (which should be sufficient), but most of
these are out of date and written for other distros.  I clearly don't
yet have the skills required.

If anyone could help walk me through this, I'd gladly put it in a
HOW-TO for the 2 or 3 other people on the planet who might be
interested.
