Hello, I have recently installed the warty release on my laptop. Install went great, about 5-15 seconds after I log into an x session and move the mouse around accessing menus or opening a terminal (tried gnome, failsafe-gnome, and failsafe-terminal), my graphics and keyboard lockup. My mouse can still move and I can still ssh to the laptop. If I log in and do not touch anything It will stay in a working state until I start using the mouse and graphics.

If I restart GDM by /etc/ini.t/gdm restart it restarts and I can log back in and it will hang again.

My laptop is a HP pavilion ze5155. I have been running redhat 7.3 on it for a year or two with no problems and I also have XP on it so I don't think it is a hardware failure problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is the video card the laptop has.
