I assume I've advertised enough that everyone is familiar with (aware
of) the Ubuntu Drupal project. I'm pleased to announce we have
completed a release countdown module for Drupal 6.x. I will officially
announce this to the world after some further bug testing and porting
to 5.x.

We have been fighting hard with figuring out the design for a planet
module that can mimic the PlanetPlanet system. Our current specs were
developed by sherkin. You can view this at

I know he put a lot of work to figure out what is really needed for
this module. We would really appreciate your input so we can wipe our
current code and get going with a nice clean slate. Many reasons for us
to start clean. Matching exact specs is one.

We would also like to code a module for the map from scratch. If
you're interested in us doing this, please say so. We would like some
exact specs for this too. We would preferably parse a file of data. One
such feature would be to parse the wiki itself to find teams and cities
that are official and not. I know I could do this, but it would require
a normalization to the table. Namely on a couple columns.

I really want to hear everyones input. These are two modules I feel
could help the community and I would like to make sure we get them
right when we build them. In fact, I almost hope to make the map
extensible enough to even be used globally... perhaps. There will
however be significant math to the approach I have in my head.
