[ubuntu-us-wi] A Call To Action (and meeting notes)

Hello, Ubuntu Wisconsin.

I've been meaning to sum up some points of our last meeting but haven't had
a chance, life has kept me pretty busy.

*Website migration to Wordpress when the theme is available
Set up some teams, we can make a wiki page with members volunteering for the
following:
**Website Team
**Social Media Team
***Facebook Group
***Twitter #ubuntuuswi
***Identi.ca !ubuntuuswi !ubuntuwi !ubuntuwisconsin

We discussed having a planet.wisconsin-ubuntu.org as a blog aggregator
similar to Planet Ubuntu (http://planet.ubuntu.com) that would aggregate
posts filed under a certain category that our LoCo members have on their
blogs.

Integration with the domain (ubuntu-wisconsin.org) and our social sites
(widgets, plugins).

Because we have so many members on the Launchpad group and we do not hear
from everyone, I would like to set an expiration date on everyone's account,
easily renewable with a click. This will be a gentle reminder to people
that they're actually in the group and perhaps will spark some activity. I
am also working to recover the password for our mailing list so I can
actually see how many subscribers that we actually have.

If you notice your Launchpad membership to Ubuntu US Wisconsin expiring
soon, don't be alarmed, but don't forget to renew it! I will also have it
set for a renewable 1-year membership *at no cost to you!*

Where is this call to action?

I invite you to please volunteer for a team you would be interested in.
Does anything spark your interest? Something you would like us to do I
haven't mentioned, sweet ideas, etc? Let us know, shoot me an email, the
mailing list, #ubuntu-us-wi on IRC, etc.

Thanks, take care, and I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th.
