Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today!  Here are the 
Linux positions I have currently; any referrals you can give me would be 
great!

 

*System Engineer -- Salt Lake City, UT -- Direct Placement*
The Tools and Automation team is looking for a mid-level, System 
Engineer to manage internal infrastructure and assist build engineers as 
needed. The ideal candidate must have experience with: Apache Web 
Server, DNS, Email, etc. Scripting experience, using Bash, Perl and 
Python preferred, experience with Maven is a plus.

The candidate should have extensive experience with Java web 
applications, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle, and the LAMP Stack. This person 
will know these technologies well enough to hit the ground running, and 
make immediate contributions to the team.

Minimum Requirements: 3 - 5 years experience supporting Linux servers; 2 
years scripting experience; 2 years experience supporting high available 
web servers and infrastructure; 2-3 years experience working with 
Apache, and Tomcat; 4+ years general IT work experience; BA, Computer 
Science or equivalent work experience.

Duties

- Support production level servers and core infrastructure services 
(internal systems).
- Insure that core services are kept available, secure, and resilient to 
failure.
- Deploy new servers to company standards.
- Engineer new systems solutions to meet team goals.
- Perform preventive maintenance on systems and services.
- Assist with hardware life-cycle management.
- Develop tools to assist in automation of building and deploying software
- Work with the build engineers to assist them as needed
- Perform build engineer duties when needed
- Other duties as requested/needed.

 

 

*Linux Systems Administrator -- Lehi, UT -- 6 month contract to hire*

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for setting up and 
implementing servers (MySQL, MSSQL, and SQL). They will be responsible 
for doing configurations using an enterprise search product called FAST 
(do not need to have experience with this). They must have a strong 
background in Linux (Redhat). They will be responsible for doing command 
line configurations, writing scripts (using a proprietary tool), and 
doing some development in XML. Daily duties include: looking at the 
Scope of work, editing and tweaking the configuration files, using 
scripts to modify and deploy configurations, customize nodes, and set up 
searches. They must have strong troubleshooting skills and have 
excellent communication skills. This person will be customer facing so 
they must present them self very well. This person must be willing to 
travel approximately one week per month. Most of the work is local and 
they will be able to remotely log into their site in Des Moines IA, but 
will be required to go out there monthly.

 

 

*Linux Engineer -- Salt Lake City, UT -- Direct Placement*

We are looking for a seasoned Linux Engineer. Ideal candidate will have 
extensive experience build, support and configuring highly available 
Linux servers. Ideal candidate must have experience with all common 
internet technologies; Web, DNS, Email, MySQL, etc. Scripting experience 
using Bash, Perl, Ruby is preferred.
Candidate will work in a team environment and will participate in the 
teams on call rotation.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java web 
applications, Apache, Tomcat, Postfix, MySQL, Oracle, LAMP Stack. This 
person will know these technologies well enough to hit the ground 
running. And make immediate contributions to the team.

Requirements:
5 Years experience supporting Linux servers
2-3 Years scripting experience
2 Years experience supporting high available web servers and infrastructure
4 Years experience working with Apache, and Tomcat
5-10 years general IT work experience.
