Applications in KDE support fish. This includes kate and konqueror.
In the address bar of konqueror, type fish://user@somehost.tld where
"somehost.tld" is a machine running SSH. Type in the SSH password for
"user" and you can browse the remote filesystem. In the kate open
file dialog, type fish://user@somehost.tld/etc/apt/sources.list, and
you'll be able to edit (even save) source.list on the remote system.
