[ubuntu-us-ut] rediscovering kde on intrepid - any kde tips ?

After upgrading to Intrepid I wasn't happy with gnome not saving my 
windows in sessions, bugginess in user switching, blah blah so I 
switched over to KDE which I haven't used in a few years.  Seems to be 
working okay - any one have any good tips on the new KDE stuff ?  like a 
better window color theme ?  Using bookmarks in Dolphin ?  etc. 

Back to Kate which I even like more than gedit (which I happen to like 
so much more than vim....).  And back to using knotes which I really like. 

I'm still using lots of gnome stuff like Firefox, Thunderbird, Evince 
and of course Inkscape.  Any great KDE stuff I'm overlooking ?
