FREE KEYNOTE

An additional Keynote has been added to the Free Keynote, Thursday,
September 6.  Matt Asay, Vice President Business Development of
Alfresco will be presenting the opening Keynote at 6pm that evening.

This keynote is part of the Utah Open Source Conference 2007.  Those
who registered for the free Keynote will be able to get into this
Keynote as well.  Dinner will be served ($10 donation requested)
starting at 5pm and go until the food is gone.

10 no obligation seats remain!  We already have 100+ at the opening
evening and more than 70 for the full conference.  Come and network
with your friends and make new ones.  Come and talk with business
owners who are trying to learn about Open Source.  Come sign up for
the full conference, registration will be available.

Conference.  Discount codes are available for full conference

Many of you have expressed interest in coming to the full conference
after already chosen the "Free Keynote" option.  In the next day or

BOFs

A BoF session, an informal meet-up at conferences, where the attendees
group together based on a shared interest and carry out discussions
without any pre-planned agenda.

Who's done amazing things in your part of the Open Source world?  Utah
Open Source would like to recognize individuals for dedication,
innovation, leadership and outstanding contribution to open source in
Utah.

They'll get peer and business recognition (and some goodies to boot),
as well as jealousy from friends and appreciation from colleagues as

EVENTS

Utah Open Source Conference 2007 is planning some fun events during
the conference.  Here is a list of a few we're planning.

Guru Labs Troubleshooting Challenge

Test your troubleshooting skills at the Guru Labs Troubleshooting
Challenge.  A sample of some of the more common troubleshooting
problems found in the world will test your brain and skills.

These are tried and true troubleshooting problems that many a sysadmin
have overcome.  All of the troubleshooting problems are provided from
the GL314 course at Guru Labs.

There will be two contests, one on Friday night and one on Saturday
night, winner of each contest will receive free admission GL275 course
at Guru Labs Training.  Prizes will be available for runners-up as
well.

Linux/Unix Distribution Throw Down

Come participate in a open discussion comparing the positives and
negatives of each of the open source operating systems.  Some may not
be represented, so if you want to defend your favorite, make sure to
attend.  If you don't know much about the distributions, this is your
chance to come and learn.

This discussion will have a moderator to keep the topics from getting
out of hand.  We want a fun, civilized yet entertaining event.

Come participate in a open discussion comparing the positives and

not be represented, so if you want to defend your favorite, make sure
