Dear Texas Team,

The major issue I see with the meetings is dicussion does happen on
the mailing list
so topics and voting are all discussed in a short chat.

People have to look at the wiki to learn discussions or to add
discussion(if they know how and where to edit) then the discussion all
happens on chat/meeting

What I would suggest is mail topics to vote on to the list and
discussion happens in whatever place the documents are also.

What I suggest is merely using other technology that is available .

I see Austin has a google mailing list and houston also and so do I
for the state.
Google is nice in some respects as being on a cutting edge. But not here.

Mailing lists are old and cannot employ the technologies that are current.

I personally do not like chat because you can not finnish a thought or
statement. Plus natively it is insecure. No matter what you call chat
Xchat/Igoogle/IRC it all remains this way.

That kind of defeats any reason I would want to use it because I have
to take transactions offline while attending a meeting.

Cordially,

Daniel Stone
