I'd stay away from automatix it can mess up your system (it has mine 
before, I don;t touch the thing now),

Are you running AMD64 version or I386?  I386 is pretty easy. Automatix
is the easiest way...but it looks like there site is down for
maintenance.

Another was is to enable the multiverse repo's in your apt source.list
and do a ...

apt-get update

then...

apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree


For AMD64 it's a little more tricky...
