I see various news reports discussing the OpenMoko FreeRunner. But
there's a major point people are discussing. The FreeRunner doesn't
support 3g or edge; it only supports gprs. Furthermore, it's very
unclear what providers are supported, and it's not clear whether it
can handle SIM cards.
I very much like the OpenMoko project, but I can't see myself spending
over 300 on a phone that's still a beta. I'd like an open phone, but
without the device actually being a -phone-, with all the features and
support therein, it's the same as my n810.
