[ubuntu-us-mn] Cannot Join Samba Domain

I am getting a message that says "the following error occurred attempting to join the domain the user name could not bet found" after loading Ubuntu Server 9.1 and Samba.
I have search much for a solution.
I have tried using the user of root to join with now success.
I need help with this.
 
My Samba is set for a domain controller.
