Welcome to the team. Mostly what the LoCo teams do in the US is advocacy
and help provide support. If you want to help out with LoCo stuff the
best place to start would be: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MinnesotaTeam
Much of our activities are still being thought up and we are trying to
get together some plans still.

You pointed out working on bugfixes which is bit different. If you want
to help out with Development (bugfixes included) you should check out
the main wiki page for Development:
