[ubuntu-us-ma] SB X-FI Sound card problems...

It looks like you have to do the following:
Download the kernel sources
Git clone the first link on that mailing list post
Patch the kernel sources using the above
Compile the modified sources
Download the file from the second link extract it, and compile it
Modprobe the ctxfi driver

Sounds like fun. I'm not too familiar with patching or compiling kernels
manually in ubuntu, but I'd check out this link:
