Hey Jim,
I've been working on it and have had success in various ways. Ubuntu's
"official" page is here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBookPro
You can read about what I've done here:
http://www.ibexits.com/main/tiki-index.php?page=Macbook+Pro+And+Linux
Its not very well done, and I'm going through lots of changes with the
website. Email me what you do/find out though. We can add it to those
pages too.
Best,
Rio
