Greetings all,

I was wondering if any of you had preferred walk-in tech shops in the
Metro Boston area that carry a respectable selection of network and/or
server kit.

Specifically, I'm looking for a place I can run to in an emergency and
ask for something obscure like a 5m SMF LC/SC Duplex fibre cable or an
NC110T NIC and not have them look at me like my head is screwed on
upside-down. There's *got* to be something like that near MIT/Kendall.

Of course I have my standard vendors (CDW and Softchoice Optimus) that
can overnight anything I need on a PO, but I'm looking for walk-in
service and browsing. Here's my brainstorming so far for places that
almost fit the bill.

You-do-it Electronics, Needham, MA
 * Awesome for ghettotech and geek projects
 * No enterprise or datacentre hardware

Micro Center, Cambridge, MA
 * Awesome for consumer tech
 * Expensive
 * No enterprise or datacentre hardware

Grainger Industrial Supply, Woburn, MA (and other MA locations)
 * Awesome for industrial tech, tools, and bulk orders
 * Call-ahead ordering with pickup (no real walk-in storefront)
 * Not really a computer shop
 * Different warehouses stock different parts

Graybar, Boston/Somerville/Wilmington, MA
 * Everything and the kitchen sink datacentre suppliers
 * Call-ahead ordering with pickup (no real walk-in storefront)
 * Different warehouses stock different parts

Anixter, Salem, NH (and other MA locations)
 * Everything and the kitchen sink datacentre suppliers
 * Call-ahead ordering with pickup (no real walk-in storefront)
 * Different warehouses stock different parts
