[ubuntu-us-ma] Potential Meeting Locations

Hola everyone,
Wow, lots of new & old people posting to the mailing list. I like it...
The BPL is cool, even if for non-profits, I wonder if they allow (or expect)
monthly meetings. Also, we aren't really a private club, so like James
says, it might be worth a try. Maybe we could squeak by on the criteria?
Also, to add my bit of research, I work in a shared office location.
Meaning a space that would fit a 50 - 75 person company is split up among
many 1 - 10 person companies. The policy for its use is only for current
tenants and organizations that the tenant actively participates in. Also,
the tenant needs to be present at all meetings with non-tenant
individuals.
It would be free. And has wifi access. The address is 86 Sherman Street,
Cambridge, MA. According to google
(link<http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=86+Sherman+St,+Cambridge,+MA+02140&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=49.71116,90.351563&ie=UTF8&z=16>)
its 1 mile (15 min walk?) from both Davis T stop and Alewife T stop. There
is also good parking in the back after hours.
That makes the main issue me having to be there all the time. I would
usually only miss it because of work. So if I have to work late, everyone
could come and I'll do my best to ignore you all. :-)
Another short-term issue is that another tenant has booked the last Thursday
for this month and next. I spoke with the owner last night, and she told me
its two one time events. But....
I do have one request. It just sounds weird in combination with above and
is selfishly motivated. I have a frisbee league that starts playing on
Thursdays today (though I can't make it today :-( ). So I'd like to change
the regular day. This would be for beyond the next two months if we decide
to use the office here. Mondays and Wednesdays are good for me any time of
month. But if that too much for many people, I can skip it once a month.
Any thoughts/comments?
Best,
Ralph
