Separate response up thread,
  As to Corp v Community balance, the ability to turn a profit would
be good for the distro's continuity. Anyone needing a more democratic
and Free (Libre and Gratis) community while contributing to the
movement would likely be welcome upstream at Debian Sid or your
favorite components' projects (except those like Pidgeon with strong
NIH our way or highway mystique).
