The USB support comes from the linux kernel and isn't so much in the
power of the gutsy team. saying that though I've _never_ seen a usb
cipset, usb hub or other usb networking device fail to work since the
usb standard is extreamly well supported in linux and has been for
years.

Perhaps there is something percuilur with your motherboard and it's
usb chipset; if you'd like to send me a hardware profile I could look
at it but for now you the first person I've heard for a long long time
(years) to say their usb doesn't work at all.
