Hi Iowa Ubuntu,

I received a message from Sundar a couple days ago, he changed the list
server to use the list server address as a return address rather than
the individuals email address, but it seems it has not changed. So we
need to make sure we reply to the list server address manually for
everyone to see you replies.

I have been interested in learning more about Mythbuntu and Mythtv. It
is great to know Nick Fox, Core Developer for Mythbuntu, is so close.
I'm sure I will have more questions for you as I develop my home
entertainment system. This is just too cool!

Jared, it sounds like you are on a very similar path as my experience.
Attempting to resolve bug #1 with a free or low cost system that is
flexible to change.

John sounds like you are a great resource for getting into the Iowa City
community. It sounds like you definitely have the PR portion down. I
looked at your links you sent. Have you met Scott Shields aka
(AtomicSpark85)?

I've seen messages from Sundar Raman (message board administrator),
Jeremy Karns, Dylan Sather, and Patrick Robertson also. It looks like we
have a good start to a core group in Iowa. We have people listening to
this message board in Iowa City, Fairfield, Des Moines, Grinnell, and
Cedar Rapids.

Sundar, when is the Fairfield fair? I presume it will be Ubuntu
oriented? Can you add links to the bottom of the list server emails for
the Iowa list, Iowa IRC channel, and Iowa wiki?

If needed, I have equipment for publishing marketing materials including
direct print to CD's, 8x11 posters, trifold brochures, and other
literature. I'm thinking of burning some Ubuntu install CD's or DVD's
with Iowa Ubuntu links printed on the face?

My classes start Monday, I will be directing my attention more towards
career goals but will stay active. Keep in touch through the Ubuntu iowa
list server.

Dave K.
