Here's everything you could ever need to know about Grub2. I used it when I had to do a Windows reinstall thinking the old grub info would work. Perhaps try reinstalling Grub2 and it might clean some of the old images in the list up.

I installed Koala on my laptop, before I went away to New Orleans. It ran fine
the whole trip, got my wireless from a hotel next door :) Our hotel only had
wireless in the lobby, but the Doubletree signal came through!!
ANYWAY, my question is, I think I see where I now have grub-pc ( grub2?)
installed, and I'm totally confused. No more /boot/grub/menu.lst to edit, and
I can't figure out what is going on. My boot menu shows about 6 versions of
linux available, but I know those files aren't on the system, because I did a
format of "/".. what gives??
You can put this on the list if you want, I just don't remember what email I
used FOR the list...
