well, i'll not be there today, as i'm getting ready to feed the hungry
maw of decatur's beerswilling population. Most interesting issue--gee,
um, well, i guess trying to get the entire thinkpad array to operate
with ATI drivers, but figuring out how to build an appropriate apt-on-cd
to give away to people so they can just plug it in and go [once the user
becomes attatched to the system, they will go further towards learning)
the better issue i suppose then being reducing the steep incline on the
front end of the learning curve, which is the largest non-legal
impediment to linux, i imagine.
anyway, hope pizza brings merriment....
(shame to hear that about Hardy and ATI, but oh well, i gave up compiz
on my laptop for both that and simply to recover the needless processor
use....anyway)
