Thanks, Paul. Kubuntu solutions are not available to me anymore. I'm now
Xubuntu -- for the time-being. May be just plain old Ubuntu here pretty
soon, though I really don't like Ubuntu's theme, and I really like
Xubuntu's simplicity.
And, yes, I did mean Evolution. At the moment my concern is with it, and
per my last post just one folder.
I've had problems with Thunderbird on every Ubuntu installation since I
switched over from Windows. Everything, and I mean *everything*, happens
real slow, and I mean *real* slow. There is a distinct delay between a
right-click,e.g., and the context menu showing up. And scrolling in a
message list is very jerky. It makes it very difficult to navigate to a
specific place in the list with any precision.
I'd rather stick with Thunderbird, but given the persistence of the
problem over so many installations of the operating system, and minor
improvements of hardware -- switched from 10 GB HD to 40 GB -- I'm not
optimistic about getting it to work satisfactorily.
So, help with that one weird folder would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
