[DC LoCo] FW: charity auctions - $160 laptops, $25 desktops

anyone have interest in picking up some $25 desktop computers (no keyboard or mouse or monitor) or $160 laptops to load up with ubuntu and other goodies, for at cost or a little commission sales?  used keyboard, CRT, and mice can be found for free often...








i've used this charity auction site and have gotten some pretty good deals and supported charities (some i like a lot).

bidding started at $100 for the laptops, but most of them are at $160 or more now. but the desktops are mostly still at $25 (each item listed separately).

 laptops (1.5GB memory, 80GB hard drives, comes with XP Pro) 
desktops (2GB Memory, 80GB harddrives and XP)

(going to be a little tough to bid on all the items separately. they should have a way to bid a price and quantity, and alert you if your highest price across all items is surpassed or if there are not enough at your highest price.)


anyway, i'm out of town and don't make it up to baltimore/towson much.  if someone wanted to help to the pickup and set up work, i'd be interested in getting a few to donate, for you to distribute/resell.
