[DC LoCo] Linux command line question: when has my computer restarted?

Hi everyone.  I'd like to see at what times a computer has restarted and/or shut down.  I know that uptime will give me the the most recent time, but I'd like to go back further.

The computer in question is a hosted virtual web server.It is definitely Linux, but I cannot figure out the distribution (yet).
