Wireless at Gallaudet has become "sketchy". I'm looking into that issue.
However, wired access for 20 would probably be do-able...
Gallaudet University is located at 800 Florida Avenue NE, about 1/2 mile
from the NY Avenue/FL Avenue/Gallaudet metro station (Red Line). Also on
the 90 and 92 metro bus lines. There is a shuttle bus that stops at both
the aforementioned metro station and the parking garage in Union Station.
However, depending upon how anal the drivers (or really, more often, their
bosses) are feeling, you may need a visitors pass to ride. Also, the
shuttles are less frequent on the weekends. Shuttle details at:

And, for the unaware, Gallaudet's claim to fame (infamy?) is that we are
"the world's only accredited liberal arts university for deaf students".
The campus also houses an elementary school and a high school for deaf
students.
Also, for something completely different, provided you give enough notice,
HacDC (http://hacdc.org/) has access to more space than merely the rooms
they rent. Or, at least, they did. I assume that's still the arrangement
there. WiFi *in* their rooms is good. Dunno what the quality is like in
other areas of the church that they can borrow with sufficient notice.
P.S. Pls forward (or approve posting) to the debian list. I just tried to
subscribe a few minutes ago, but it is in a pending state.
