Hi all,

The Potter's House is a coffeehouse/bookstore in Adams Morgan with
a "spiritual and social justice" focus and has been around since
the 60's.

It seems to me that they used to have a much stronger Christian
focus. However, this afternoon, I attended a food tasting there
and their bulletin board now goes from Baptist to Buddhist. And
there appears to be an empty spot just waiting to be filled with
an Ubuntu (or other FOSS) flyer. ;-)

Not only that, I made noise to the bookstore manager about possibly
having some sort of demo there... He seemed receptive, but wasn't
the guy to make a final decision. It appeared we could get the
bookstore front area for free? Or possibly a back room (which I have
not seen) for some reasonable fee. I'll try to head over there at
some point when the powers-that-be there are able to sit down and
talk. Dunno anything about their Internet capabilities or lack thereof.

So, it's just one more thing to put on your radar as a possibility.

P.S. The food tasting was hosted by the author of the "Vegan Italiano"
cookbook, and was pretty good food (though I like my pasta warm,
     and still like cheese).
