Not sure who your ISP is, but a lot of them block port 25 (Comcast does) 
and you have to use an alternative port.

If this doesn't apply, then I'll not be much help. Just thought it worth 
mentioning.

For others that might be more help, are you trying to deliver to/from 
your box or to a smart host?
