[CoLoCo] running LiveCD from HD help

I'd always understood it like this: if you copy all of the files from a
LiveCD to an external hard drive, and your computer supports booting from a
USB device, it will work just like inserting the CD.

But I've never had the resources to try it...  so I don't know.
