[CoLoCo] help setting up bridged router

Well, while the Linksys router certainly has the hardware capacity to act as
a great wireless bridge/client, it was never meant for it. It probably
depends completely on how well DDWRT has written itself to act as a client.
In all reality, you could probably check craigslist and pick up a few PCI
Wireless cards for around 20$ a piece and just stick those in the
computers. Heck, you could get USB ones for even cheaper... the only
problem is if they will work well on a Linux OS.
It does still seem strange that it'd be slow... try running some speed tests
through your LAN and then a few from different computers in the house to the
Net from a stable server.
