Abstract

This presentation will include a live tour of Mike's latest developments in
his implementation of home automation in a wired home that has computer
controlled devices including lights, security cameras, door openers and
locks, window shades, thermostat, fire and intrusion alarms, flooding
prevention, real time electric power monitoring and control.

Featured will be further demonstrations of the Xtension Home Automation
control system that runs on Mac OS X, the Blue Iris camera surveillance DVR
system that runs on Windows and mobile applications running on Android and
IOS.

This second session, a followup to his presentation last February will
feature more details on the HA system, a live demo of the home's security
cameras and DVR system and include a live demonstration of setting up new
cameras, HA hubs and devices, and topics like how this HA technology has
been applied at the airport and how the inbound VPN system is set up.

As usual we will be having a "Meeting After the Meeting" for talk and
drinks, and since the meeting is on Thursday we are planning it at the
Bulldog Alehouse restaurant in Bolingbrook on Weber Rd
