There's a USB Startup Disk Creator available in Jaunty that can create
a bootable thumb drive installation via a GUI.  On Ubuntu it's
installed by default under System > Administration > USB Startup Disk
Creator.

I've used it before.  It makes the process way easier than doing it
via the command line.
