| My name is Ken (Back Slasher) Friberg and have been using Linux off and on
| for the last 5 years, but found Ubuntu and ditched windows, with the
| exception of work. I live in Rock Island,IL and work in Bettendorf,IA at
| AVG Automation where I'm a software/hardware tester and tech support for
| PLC's and Touch Screen HMI's. I would like to be more involved in the
| community, but find it hard since I'm on the other side of the state. I try
| on a daily basis to find more ways for our company to use open source in
| our projects as I see it being a big part of our future.

I am an Allen Bradley PLC 5 and SLC 500 hacker myself as well as Allen Bradley
PanelViews with RSView hacking :) I worked with Rockwell Automation and TAVA
Technologies in 1998 and implemented the TCP/IP communications with their
RS232 devices. Shortly there after I took my coding break and got into
hardware. So if you need someone certified in AB equipment either with MMI
(screw that politically correct stuff), OK HMI :) or PLCs let me know. I
still know all of the ladder logic applications and the HMI software. Mostly
AB stuff but was a developer on the ICONICS Genesis HMI development suite. I
have some SCADA experience as well as some Fix32 experience. I only charge
$75/hr for consulting :)

| Anyway, Hello and I look forward to working on any projects with you all.

Welcome, awesome there is someone in the group with experience in something I
actually know.
