Jason,
Thanks a lot! You are the man for sure!
Since there haven't been any objections, here it is:
WHAT:
Ubuntu Chicago Meeting Event #2 & Edgy Release Party
WHEN:
Saturday, October 28, 2006 (proposed from 11am to 6/8 pm)
WHO:
Ubuntu Chicago Members / Any and everyone is welcome, event is open
WHERE:
Jason has the details to this
WHY:
Organizational meeting, Release Party, Demonstration & Presentation
HOW:
Everyone is welcome to pick a topic and present on that topic. I will
create an email asking for people to propose topics to cover. Once we have a
finite list, you can pick a topic that interests you, and create a
presentation and plan on speaking at the event. Demonstrations - If there is
something you want to demo, bring a system that you can demo with. Demo
examples right now could be Compix/XGL/AIGLX stuff, Cedega (Jason?),
Crossover Office, Wine, Wifi Stuff (I can bring a wifi hub for us to use),
anything else you can think of demoing. I will probably have a Kubuntu Edgy
system that I will bring in order to show off some stuff and maybe give a
tutorial or 2 with ;)
Jason, fill us in with the where of course. I will work on the presentation
email in a minute. Thanks again!
