Ubuntu-Chicago Issue with joining

Welcome to the group. I see you have joined the team and signed up on the 
Launchpad as well as the mailing list. The mailing list email address is:

I show your name on the mailing list. Send a test email if you would like to 
the list and we will see if we get it. I didn't receive a message though 
saying you joined the list. So it seems as if you are still awaiting the 
confirmation email. There doesn't seem to be anything that I can do to hurry 
the email along. You should be receiving it though, and all you have to do is 
click on the link, enter your password and you will be good to go. I will 
keep an eye on you. If you would like, you can join us on irc or contact me
