Ubuntu-Chicago Wireless Problem

Well I was doing some hot swap with another crappy card that was prism based
and needed hostap to work. IT worked bug was buggy.... real buggy with
dapper.
So I swapped to this know good card and then I had the same problem. So I
did a fresh install and the card worked? now the same problem..
Just a thought. I install samba right before this problem started. Could
that be blocking something? seems like a reach but... I'm lost.
