FWIW many teams, including ours, offer easy mechanisms for accessing IRC via
the web browser. When you click on "Chat" on ubuntu-california.org it opens
up the web interface for freenode. Users don't need to know what IRC is or
how to configure a client they just chat through their web browser like they
would on facebook.

But Mark is right, the survey is for all users, not just folks who are young
or new to Ubuntu :)
