I had much the same feeling with my Acer Aspire One.

I sold it -- £100 :-) -- and bought a Thinkpad X200. Slightly bigger
but dramatically faster with a lovely keyboard. Mine cost me £130, so
net cost of the upgrade was £30. :-)
