Ah!  Well, if that's how it is supposed to work now, I can live with 
it.  My wife got a refurbished laptop a week or two ago.  It had 13.04 
pre-installed.  I'm amazed how much things have been improved since that 
release.  I was tempted to upgrade it to Saucy, but the use she makes of 
it is minimal and she can work with it 'as is'. The fact that she has 
13.04 on her pc as well helps make things easier.
